May Issue

Has spring sprung? I think we had a bit of a slingshot late April with some rather unprecedented weather. Gardeners who had planted early in some good weather were scurrying around to cover planting and delicate veg produce before the onslaught of sleet and hail. Believe me when I tell you that a couple of my pots (not chamber ones) were temporarily relegated to the outside loo for the duration.
I am pleased to say that the May edition holds much excitement for the Nailsworth Festival. We have seen Festival Saturday in glorious sunshine and of course, the occasional rainy and grey day. Whatever the weather, all the events are on course, and there is much to see for all generations. Many of these events are completely free and supported by generous and enthusiastic volunteers who are the mainstay of our vivacious town.
There is much other news in this edition as well, the discerning reader will note when the font goes down to the lowest permissible level whilst still legible without one’s reading glasses. An indicator of a good haul!
Keep the news coming to us, we thrive on your stories and information.
